Priscilla Presley is sharing her everlasting love for daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.

Lisa Marie—the only child of Priscilla and Elvis Presleypassed away Jan. 12 at age 54 following a sudden hospitalization, Priscilla said.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” the 77-year-old said in a statement to People Jan. 12. “She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

“We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss,” she continued. “Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”

Earlier in the day, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson told Entertainment Tonight that deputies arrived at her Calabasas home to assist with a cardiac arrest.

Priscilla—who married Elvis in 1967—confirmed Lisa Marie was “rushed to the hospital” and was receiving care from staff.

Lisa Marie shares daughter Riley Keough, 33, with ex-husband Danny Keough. Their son Benjamin Keough died by suicide in July 2020 at age 27. She is also mom to 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley with ex-husband Michael Lockwood.

Lisa Marie’s passing comes two days after she attended the 2023 Golden Globes with Priscilla to support actor Austin Butler, who was honored for playing the King in the Baz Luhrmann movie Elvis. He took home the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, and shouted out the mother-daughter duo in his speech.

“Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me,” he said. “I love you forever.”

The love was mutual, as Lisa Marie said of Austin in June, “I do believe that this may be my first smile in 2 years.”

She also praised the director, writing on Twitter, “Baz, your utter genius combined with your love and respect for my father and this project is just so beautiful and so inspiring… Thank you for setting the record straight in such a deeply profound and artistic way.”

Baz got close to the family while working on the film, and they recently celebrated what would have been Elvis’ 88th birthday on Jan. 8. “It was so great to share ELVIS’ birthday with Lisa Marie Presley, Riley, friends, family and all those that, in the spirit of ELVIS went out to the theatres,” he wrote this week. “It was indeed a happy birthday and celebration of a legacy!”
