Since first bursting onto our screens in Hulu’s NSFW Normal People, Daisy Edgar-Jones’ entertainment star continues to rise. The 24-year-old British actress further demonstrates her commitment to book-to-screen adaptations in Under the Banner of Heaven, a nuanced performance that earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology, or Movie Made for Television.
For the big night, Edgar-Jones dressed the part of a Hollywood starlet in a custom Gucci gown with lace, sequins, and tiered ruffles, a Dionysus clutch, and platform jewels. She topped the look off with Cartier jewelry, specifically Étincelle de Cartier earrings, an Étincelle de Cartier ring, and a Cartier Maillon Panthère ring—all in 18k white gold and diamonds.
She’s keen on seeing how other attendees are dressed, too. “I’m most looking forward to seeing what everyone is wearing,” she tells ELLE.com. “And trying to spot Jennifer Coolidge.”
In terms of beauty, makeup artist Nina Park wanted something “modern, fresh, and elegant to channel Daisy’s essence.” Before application, she prepped Edgar-Jones’ skin with Decorté Liposome Advanced Repair Serum and pressed in the brand’s Liposome Advanced Repair Cream to seal it all in. Next, she applied Chanel N°1 de Chanel Revitalizing Foundation in BD21 and gently dusted Les Beiges Healthy Glow Luminous Colour in Light for a warm glow, then added N°1 de Chanel Lip and Cheek Balm in Healthy Pink to the cheeks and, finally, a swipe of Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in Intemporelle on the lips. She finished by setting the look with Decorté Comfort Day Mist Set and Protect to lock in the makeup for the red carpet. Hairstylist Kylee Heath used Hair Rituel by Sisley-Paris products and brushes to craft her elegant updo, complete with curtain bangs.

“I was so lucky to have the best of the best getting me ready: Nina Park, Kylee Heath, and Nicky Yates,” says Edgar-Jones.
She adds: “These Cartier pieces worked so well with the whole look.”
“This Gucci dress was so stunning—it’s my favorite thing I’ve ever worn,” says Edgar-Jones.
“The best dresses are the ones you can still have a dance in,” says Edgar-Jones.
