On Friday, November 10, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds strolled through New York City hand-in-hand. They were both dressed in layered fall looks, Lively in blue jeans and a Smythe jacket in mottled tones of white, green, and gray. Underneath, she wore a striped top in yellow and green and carried a striped handbag in yellow and white with brown leather details.
She left her hair down and appeared to be wearing no makeup. On her feet were a pair of mustard yellow Converse. Reynolds was wearing tan khakis, a plaid button-down, an Army green jacket, and a gray beanie. He had on his glasses and wore white sneakers.
The couple appeared to be in conversation as they walked, smiling and laughing together. Lively and Reynolds share four children, welcoming the latest baby last February. They have not yet revealed the baby’s name or gender. They have three daughters, James, eight-years-old, Inez, seven-years-old, and Betty, four-years-old.
In a recent conversation with People, while attending the Bring Change to Mind Revels & Revelations 11 event, Reynolds opened up about raising kids as they grow older.
“I think it’s more about talking to them about everything,” he explained. “It’s genuine when I say I take a huge interest in their days and how things are going.”
He went on, “For me, the best time of my day is walking them to school and walking them back…I think as parents, we are so much better equipped to handle the rigors of childhood through our kids now than when I was a kid. It’s just totally different now. People are much more self-aware. And that’s the thing we sort of hang our hat on the most is self-awareness with our kids. Not be happy, not be anything, just be self-aware and welcome everything in.”
Reynolds added that the addition of a new family member has been easy for the group.
“Everybody’s doing great. Everybody’s actually doing fantastic,” he said. “I think if we hadn’t figured it out by now, I think we’d be in deep, deep trouble.”
